Stop Human Trafficking

Did you know that slavery still exists today? In fact, experts believe that nearly 27 million people have been victims of modern day slavery, otherwise known as human trafficking. More slaves exist today than when slavery was legal. The knowledge of this has moved me to action.

My primary work in Cape Town consits of combating modern day slavery. I work under the guidance and leadership of the Not For Sale Campaign in the U.S.A. I have been trained by the Not For Sale Campaign to do passive investigation of human trafficking. This involves identifying, mapping, and documenting cases of human trafficking in South Africa (www.slaverymap.org). I also work side by side with government officials, service providers, and other NGO's with the same goal to eradicate modern day slavery. Together we work to identify, rescue, and rehabilitate victims of human trafficking.
